“The jungle doesn't forget,” the text box scrolled. “And neither do the files you delete.”
Elias froze. His hands hovered over the WASD keys. He hadn't entered his name anywhere in the game files. He checked the task manager to kill the process, but the window was gone. His entire monitor was now just the swaying ferns of the jungle floor. DOWNLOAD FILE – GREEN HELL.ZIP
He moved his character forward. Usually, the jungle in Green Hell is a wall of sound, but this was silent. No birds, no insects. Just the crunch of his own footsteps.

When the game launched, there was no main menu. It dropped him straight into the Amazonian brush. The graphics were wrong—hyper-realistic in a way that made his eyes ache. He could smell the damp earth through his headset, a sharp tang of rot and rain that shouldn't have been there.
