"It is a symbol of my status," Lucifer countered, looking down at his own hands—which were actually Satan's hands. He sighed, a sound of pure exhaustion. "But for the sake of the human's sanity, I am willing to call a temporary truce. Satan, you will mimic my schedule. I will attempt to browse your collection of books on human curses without burning them."

Satan scoffed, turning on his heel and grabbing a heavy grimoire. "Agreed. I need to wash the scent of expensive cologne and absolute arrogance out of my clothes."
